The Project

Galactic 50

A long-running project to photograph the Milky Way from fifty named locations across America — national parks, desert overlooks, forgotten roads. One sky, many places, every frame an hour-plus exposure under the darkest skies we could find.

Milky Way arcing across the night sky over a rocky coastline, long-exposure surf rendered as soft fog, stars visible through high clouds
